The Spray series is a body of paintings using fast, broad and minimalistic techniques on both hard materials such as wood and traditional canvas.
The paintings are abstract constructs with an aesthetic that broaches on digital art in its mock pixelated rendition and its lack of texture, combined with a paradoxically muted and soft-focused range of colours and designs.
They resemble lazy blown-up details of random shapes and haphazard scientific events or blurry extracts of landscape details caught on discarded canvas.
